Tom McShane serves as Vice President, Remote Operations, CBS Sports Network. McShane joined the Network in 2009 and oversees all technical and financial planning for nearly 600 live games and events on CBS Sports Network each year.

In his role, McShane works closely with the Network’s various partners including the NCAA, American Athletic Conference, Atlantic 10, BIG EAST, Conference USA, Mountain West, Patriot League, Army and Navy, as well as the NBA Development League, Major League Lacrosse and Arena Football League. He also plays a key role in the operations surrounding CBS Sports Network’s coverage of the Super Bowl, Masters, PGA Championship and US Open Tennis Championships.

Prior to joining CBS Sports Network, McShane worked at ESPN where he helped manage operations for Major League Baseball and the Little League World Series. He also managed the operations teams for college basketball, studio remotes and boxing and worked on site at events as an Operations Producer on various college football and college basketball games, as well as the X Games, The Heisman Trophy Presentation, Wimbledon and French Open Tennis.

McShane began his career at NBC where he worked in various roles in his 20 years at the Network including Unit Manager, Manager of Manpower Planning for NBC Olympics, and Production Manager for NBC News and NBC Sports. Other work included technical and production support for many news and entertainment studio shows including Saturday Night Live, Late Night with David Letterman, The Today Show, Local News 4, Dateline, and NBC Nightly News.

After NBC, he served as Director, Facilities Operations at Madison Square Garden Networks, where he was responsible for the technical and facilities planning of remote broadcasts for all home and away games of nine professional sports teams, the New York Yankees, New York Mets, New York Knicks, New Jersey Nets, New York Rangers, New York Islanders, New Jersey Devils, New York Liberty, and the Metro Stars of MLS, as well as the Arena Football League, college basketball, and Golden Gloves Boxing.

McShane graduated from Hofstra University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications.
