With over 20 years of experience in managing technical operations in televised sports, multiple Emmy award winner, Mike Davies is in charge of all remote operations for Fox Sports and Fox Sports 1 as Fox Sports Media Group’s Senior Vice President of Field and Technical Operations.

In his role, Davies oversees a team of some of the best professionals in the business who work to manage all aspects of production planning for Fox Sports national broadcast and cable productions including NFL, Baseball, College Football, Motor Sports, Soccer as well as the sports which will be coming to the networks this summer, namely Golf and World Cup Soccer.

Some of the many 2014 accomplishments of Davies’ group were Super Bowl XLV, along with the massive production in Times Square on Super Bowl Blvd, the 2014 NLDS, NLCS, and World Series, the UEFA Champions League Final in Lisbon, and the Daytona 500. In the past,he has overseen countless other unique events, including two additional Super Bowls, the US and Latin American unilaterals for the UEFA Champions League Final for the last 5 years, as well as live pregame shows from Afghanistan, Qatar, and Korea among others.

Davies is also works on some of the cutting edge technological innovations which are now ubiquitous through the Fox Sports landscape, notably the Fox Sports Gopher and Dirt Cams, Fox Player Pointers, Phantom Cameras, and the first use of 4k Zoom/Crop as a production tool, as well as a variety of others.

Davies graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in Broadcast Production Management. Born in New York City and raised between Ivinghoe, England and Chatham, NJ, he lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Danita, his son, Kai, and an annoying little dog named Max.
