Marcel Koutstaal is the Senior Vice President for the Imaging Product Group, which provides leading camera products and solutions to the broadcasters, content creators, and those in the professional video markets.

Marcel is responsible for the entire camera product line, as well as playing an active role with the products team to ensure alignment across all product lines.

Prior to his current role as General Manager, Marcel was leading the Product Management team of the Camera Product Group. In that role he has been responsible for many multi-award winning product initiatives. These include product management for the LDK 23HS mkII (which became the de facto standard for Super Slow Motion), LDK 200, LDK300, LDK 500, Viper Filmstream Camera, C2IP (First IP-based camera control system), the Infinity Digital Media Camcorder, and the LDK 8300 HD Multi format Super Slow Motion camera, which was honored in 2010 with a Technical Emmy® Award.

Prior to joining the camera division of Grass Valley (Philips in that time) in 1998, Marcel worked for Tulip Computers International for ten years in various positions. He started his career in 1988 in the service division as a support engineer, handling PC hardware and peripherals. The last five years at Tulip, Marcel worked as a Product Manager.

Marcel has a Technical and Marketing educational background and holds a bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from the College of Advanced Technology in Eindhoven, with a specialty in Radio and Television Technology. He graduated from Regional Brabant Broadcast Corporation (SROB) in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, in the area of automated audio measurements.

Marcel is based in Breda, the Netherlands which is the primary location for the development and manufacturing of Grass Valley cameras.
