SVG’s Annual Summit in December Marks 10th Year Event Has Helped Shape Future of Sports Production

NEW YORK — The 10th Annual SVG Summit will be held on Dec. 14-15, 2015 at the New York Hilton Hotel, giving sports production industry professionals from across the spectrum of industry disciplines a chance to take part in more than seven tracks featuring 40 panel discussions as well as more than 70 exhibits.

The dates also coincide with the 10th anniversary of the founding of SVG.

“For the past 10 years the Sports Video Group has served the industry in a number of ways and the SVG Summit, with more than 1,000 attendees, is at the center of those activities,” says Paul Gallo, SVG, co-executive director and co-founder. “This year’s event marks the next step in helping our members and sponsors understand future production needs and business opportunities.”

The core of the event will be a series of general sessions that begin on Monday, Dec. 14 and conclude on Tuesday, Dec. 15. The general sessions will feature the industry’s leading production professionals discussing topics like current approaches to remote production, the state of the business, future formats like UHD, and much more.

“It is important to give the thought leaders that do so much during the year to advanced sports content creation and distribution an opportunity to come together and learn from each other,” says Marty Porter, SVG co-executive director and co-founder.

Attendees will also be able to attend a series of workshop tracks that will be held during the two-day event. This year’s lineup of tracks include:

Also for the ninth year in a row the SVG Summit will be followed immediately by the 2015 Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame ceremony that will feature the induction of 8 legends into the Hall of Fame.
